How the pricing works:

We charge based on truck volume — how much of our 16-cubic-yard truck your items fill. A single small item starts at $129. A half-load is $454. Fill the whole truck and it’s $694. Labor is included with every load, and you get the number before we start.

What Does a “Load” Actually Look Like?

This is where most pricing pages fail you. Fractions of a truckload don’t mean much until you picture what fills them. Here’s a real-world breakdown before you book.

Extra Fees — What They Are and When They Apply

A small number of items cost extra to dispose of properly. Paint, tires, and anything with hazmat considerations can’t go to a standard landfill since disposal is regulated. You’ll know about all of these before we start. Old electronics and scrap metal don’t get charged extra — we recycle them. See electronics recycling and car parts recycling for the details.

Item Fee
5 Gallon Paint Bucket $25 each
1 Gallon Paint Can $5 each
Under 1 Gallon Paint $2.50 each
Tire $35 each
Car Battery $10 each

Why Our Pricing Is Different

Most junk removal companies — especially the national franchises — don’t post prices online. You call, someone drives out, and you find out the number standing in your driveway with a truck already there. That’s not an accident.

We put everything on this page because we’d rather you know the price before you book than feel pressured after we show up. Our minimum is $129. Our full truck is $694. Those numbers don’t change based on how much stuff you have or how the conversation goes.

We’re also a local crew — not a franchise. Joseph started this company in high school. The team is trained, insured, and accountable in a way a national call center isn’t. That’s worth something, and we try to price like it.

What Can Push Your Price Up

Volume drives the quote. But a few things can move it:

  • Stairs or long carries. Items that need to come down multiple flights or across a long distance take more time. If labor runs past 30 minutes per quarter-load, it’s $250/hr after that.
  • Specialty items. Pianos, hot tubs, and concrete are quoted separately. Not because we’re avoiding the question — those jobs genuinely vary.
  • Regulated disposal. Tires, mattresses, paint, and hazmat situations have fees that are set by disposal facilities, not us. They’re listed above.
  • Location. We serve all of Metro Atlanta — MariettaAlpharettaKennesaw, and everywhere in between — at the same rates.

Questions We Get Asked a Lot

How much does junk removal cost in Atlanta?

Junk removal in Atlanta costs between $129 and $694 with Joseph’s Junk Removal, based on how much of our 16-cubic-yard truck your items fill. A single small item starts at $129. A half-load is $454. A full truck is $694. Labor up to 30 minutes is included with every load.

What’s the minimum charge for junk removal?

The minimum is $129 for a small single-item pickup. That’s the lowest minimum among the major Atlanta junk removal companies — 1-800-GOT-JUNK starts at $138 and Junk King at $188.

How much does it cost to remove a couch?

A loveseat or two-seater sofa is $169. A three-seater couch or sectional is $199. Larger sectionals range from $249 to $359. Sleeper sofas run $10–$30 more due to added weight.

Is labor included in the price?

Yes. Every load includes up to 30 minutes of labor per quarter-load. Items are carried from anywhere on the property. If the job runs longer than that, additional labor is $250/hr, pro-rated.

How much does appliance removal cost?

A single washer or dryer is $98. A washer/dryer set is $149. Mini fridges are $88. Full-size refrigerators range from $159 to $219 depending on width. Mattresses also carry a $25 environmental disposal fee regardless of size.

Is junk removal cheaper than renting a dumpster?

For most residential jobs, they’re comparable. Dumpster rental in Atlanta typically runs $300–$500 before you factor in weight overage fees and the time spent loading it yourself. Junk removal starts at $129 and the crew does all the loading. For a single-room cleanout, junk removal usually wins on both price and convenience.

Are there discounts available?

Yes — SMS discount ($30 off), Nextdoor recommendation ($20 off), community hero discount for firefighters, police, teachers, nurses, and military ($20 off), and a late/inconvenience discount ($15 off). You can stack up to two discounts per job.
